Princeton Writes LogoPrinceton Writes 2024-2025 Graduate Fellowship

Career Development Opportunity for Graduate Students

Deadline: August 1, 2024

Princeton Writes, an innovative program established in 2013 to strengthen the practical communication skills of our University community, welcomes applications for its 2024-2025 graduate fellowship.

The goal of this fellowship is twofold:

(1) To introduce graduate students to new administrative and pedagogical opportunities, including program management, classroom instruction, event planning, and University-wide networking.  Graduate fellows will be invited to create and lead one workshop per semester, gaining teaching experience, and to spearhead one of several possible initiatives: a video documentary, a symposium on the written and spoken word, or a conversation series with accomplished communicators.

(2) To enhance the capacity of Princeton Writes to address the communication-related needs of employees and students by infusing its work with new perspectives and energies. Graduate fellows will be instrumental in liaising with fellow graduate students who could benefit from our program’s services.

Graduate Fellows will be expected to dedicate the equivalent of approximately five hours a week to experiential learning, based on a flexible schedule.  They will receive a 10-month award of $3,000, payable in $1,500 installments at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, as well as an independent workspace in Princeton Writes’ New South suite. This fellowship is renewable by mutual agreement.

Expressions of interest and curricula vitae should be emailed to Program Director John S. Weeren at jweeren@princeton.edu not later than August 1, 2024.

Thank you for considering this opportunity!
