On February 15, 2017, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the Mathey College common room, we will host a story slam, featuring volunteer storytellers from all corners of the campus. Undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, faculty, and staff are warmly invited to leave their inhibitions at the door and share a heartwarming story with their classmates and colleagues. Professor of English William Gleason will serve as our emcee.

In the spirit of The Moth and its motto, “true stories told live,” we will ask each participant to tell a 3-5 minute story on stage, centered on the theme “My first love . . .” That love could be a person or thing, a place or pastime, or even an idea, and we hope the audience will be truly touched as well. Stories are to be told, not read, so no notes will be allowed. We will, however, host an optional practice session for participants here in Dillon Court East on February 9, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

If you have a love story you would like to tell, please sign up here or contact us at pwrites@princeton.edu.
