2018-2019 Celebration of Student Writing
Friday, October 26: Deadline for members of the Editorial Board to confirm their participation by nominating a single piece of undergraduate writing of any genre that is both superbly crafted and representative of the work published or performed by their organizations in 2018.
Nominations should be emailed in the form of Microsoft Word attachments to email@example.com.
Nominations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until nine have been received, which is all we can accommodate in a 90-minute showcase. Members of the Editorial Board will be notified when this number has been reached and will be given the option of placing their nominations on a waiting list or deferring their participation until next year.
Each nomination must be accompanied by a brief statement (no more than 250 words) explaining why the work in question deserves to be honored.
Before a nomination can be submitted, members of the Editorial Board must ascertain that their nominees will be available to read or, when performed by others, to introduce their work on the night of the celebration.
Tuesday, February 12, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Working lunch for members of the Editorial Board designed to preview program and coordinate publicity, Room E08, Dillon Court East.
Those who have left their leadership position between semesters should arrange for their successor to attend this lunch.
Tuesday, February 19, 6:30-9:30 p.m.: Celebration of Student Writing, followed by reception, Hamilton Murray Theater, Murray-Dodge Hall.
Members of the Editorial Board should plan to assist with run-through, ushering, and breakdown.
Space will be provided for those who wish to display their publications and/or promotional materials during the reception.
